| “ . . .We pray you, in Christ's
stead, Be Reconciled to God!” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:20
Reconciled, Reconciliation –
Strong's C. 2644- katallasso {from 2596 -kata: in relation to,after
the manner of,etc. & 236- allasso' -from 243 – allos – else,
different, otherwise)) to make different; to change mutually.
Websters – to cause to accept or be
resigned to something not desired, to cause to become friendly or
peaceable again; to compose or settle a quarrel, dispute or debate;
to bring into agreement or harmony; make compatible or consistent; to
restore.
Of the twenty three uses of the word
reconcile and its various tenses,16 refer to man being reconciled to
GOD. The others refer to man being reconciled to one another in
various relationships. God is intent on this reconciliation. It was
Christ's mission and purpose.
Now for the million dollar question,
Can we be reconciled to GOD, without being reconciled to His Word?
Brought into agreement with the Word, all the debates settled
concerning the Word, and how it insists that we live? Have we been
guilty of trying to separate GOD, - His love, His mercy, His grace, His
presence, His Blessing, ETC. from His Word? I think we are guilty as
charged! 2 Corinthians chapter 5, Romans chapter
5, and Ephesians Chapter 2, to name a few places, all talk about
God's wonderful plan of reconciliation through Christ Jesus! But if
you are reading with the eyes of the Spirit you begin to see more and
more things come to life! That is what I love about the miraculous
living Word! We begin to see the processes of Reconciliation! The
work of it. Uh-oh, I said the dreaded four letter
word - work. The word that sends most American flying to find the
remote control and the comfort foods, the adult pacifiers of our
times. Pacifiers that keep us unfit for the army of the Living God.
The word, that used to “separate the men from the boys”, and
that now creates a near vacuum – work! But there is work to
reconciliation! What is that work? Change! Whether it
be in the form of heartfelt repentance, or renewing the mind to take
every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, or simply denying
the flesh (did I say simply?!); it involves effort on our part. One
of the definitions was “to change mutually”, that simply means
that it can not be achieved by efforts on the part of only one party.
In order to reconcile two factions both must move! One can forgive
another, but one can not be reconciled to another without that one's
cooperation! God has moved, in the form of His Son, He came all the way
from His throne to the stable in Bethlehem, and then to the cross,
and then to hell, and then to the right hand of GOD to make
intercession for us; what more do we expect from Him?! Then, it is
obvious that the next move is up to us. “The ball is in our court”,
so to speak. How will we play it? Are we willing to leave our easy
chair, comfort zone, way of least resistance – whatever you choose
to call it – behind to follow The Way? Are we willing to leave our
vain philosophies, our deceptions, our self-made kingdoms, our
“independence” – to follow The Truth? Are we willing to leave
the familiar, but deadly, ways of our flesh to follow The Life?
There is a move of the Spirit of God
to draw His people back to the Truth, but it remains to be seen if we
are willing to be drawn. We seem to love our own ways better. God
forgive us! Let us be quick to repent, quick to obey, and quick to
be reconciled! Either that or, for pity's sake, let's quit grousing
around about the lack of blessing. Blessing is a direct result of pleasing
God, and having His favor! Favor, or God's smile, is a result of
Faith, and Faith is a result of Completed Obedience! We can not
separate God from His Word! From His righteousness, His way of doing
and being right! We have to get this! We will play the
ball, that is certain. What is up for grabs is merely the goal for
which are we aiming, whose team are we furthering? There is no
neutralized zone called “doing our own thing”. We are either
doing God's “Thing” or doing the devil's “thing”. His mandate has never changed, “Choose
LIFE!” Whatever the “situation”, however confused the
“circumstantial evidence” seems to be, only two
choices remain. Are we “Pro-Choice” or “Pro-Life”? I think our
choices speak for us most clearly. The question is, what are they saying?
Selah.

| In honor of Gene I post this song, since it was His idea all along! If you have ever heard us sing the blues, then you're equipped with all the clues, that are needed to envision our particular rendition. But if you haven't, perhaps you're clueless, but most of us are hardly blueless! Yes I know that's not a word, but it beats some that I have heard. So whether or not you've got the clues, I present to you....
The
Father's Blues
You
think You're disappointed,
with
all the mess you've made?
You
think I'm the one who wronged you!
And
that you have a case today!
Well
let me tell you children,
That
just ain't true, no way!
You
see, from the very start of things,
right
after I made man,
He
decided to go on his own way,
started
messing up My Plan!
His
flesh sided with the devil,
and got
himself into the frying pan.
Yet
I made a plan to save him,
to
keep him from the fire.
And
I've done most of the work for him,
except
for ruling his desires,
Now
I had to leave that up to him,
or
I really would've been a liar!
For
you know that right from day one,
I
gave man the right choose,
and
I gave him the straight story,
so
there was no way he could lose!
Yet
he chose to not believe me,
and
today you still refuse!
Now,
how many times has someone told you,
that
MY Son died to set you free,
That
He's the Truth, the Life, the Way;
That
He is your victory!
But
still you chose the wrong path,
yes
you did, if you're in misery!
It's
time to put the ball back into your park,
where
I meant it to be played.
Too
many sitting in the dark,
hopeless
and dismayed,
When
the light of this world, Jesus,
brought
His Spirit, and He stayed.
So
just turn your life right over,
you
know that My Word tells you how,
There
is no time like the present,
just
run back to me right now!
I
would love to turn your life around,
from
the woes up to the wow!
Oh
My people, My children,
My
little girls and little boys,
I
have longed so much to love you,
and
bring you into all My Joys!
But
you'd rather have the sorry world,
and
all her shiny, cheap, old toys!
Please,
turn your heart to Jesus,
and
let Him change all your desires!
Oh
My children, turn your heart to Jesus!
Let
Him change all your desires!
Or
one day you may find that,
you've
slipped from the frying pan into the fire!
That
eternal fire!
Oh,
Please give your heart to Jesus,
let
Him change your heart today!
Let
the Truth of God transform you,
Please,
open your heart, hear what I have to say!
There
is only one road to peace and life,
Jesus
says, He still says, He is the way!

| Hi All,
Happy Flesh Awareness Day! Just
kidding, but seriously folks...
A few years ago someone, trying to be
cute, named this day “Single Awareness Day”. How like us
Americans to focus in on a personal condition of perceived lack! How
like us to throw a pity party over something which we have no
control. To go about in a temper tantrum, or a pout because the time
of our inheritance, or our marriage, or our “independence” has
not come.
How much depression, sorrow and
loneliness could be alleviated simply by changing it to
“Single-minded Devotion to God Day”.
Could His loyal subjects, marital
status withstanding, stand up and be counted by the love we have for
one another? Could we perhaps quit whining about the inheritance
that has not come yet and simply serve our Father with loyalty? Could
we put aside fleshly desires and put all our efforts into furthering
His mission while it is still day?
We call this the holiday of love,
while we forget that the Word says, GOD IS LOVE! Where is our
devotion to Him? Or are we only devoted to what He has laid up for
us? Are we really that mercenary? May God forgive us. May we allow
His Spirit to change our focus.
Happy Love of God Awareness Day! Yes,
I could go for that.
May you be aware of His Love today!
Sandra D. On a side note, my Husband Gene, who has always taken issue with the commercialism, and other ills, of this day calls it "Happy BMW payment of the CEO of Hallmark Day!" ; Selah, Let us Pause and calmly reflect on that! lol

Victory March!
Let us follow, oh so
closely, listening to His every
WORD!
For we can't obey His
orders, that we haven't truly
heard!
He will lead us all to
Glory, Victory, thus ends our
story!
Dark nights behind, made
for the keeping, of sorrow, doubt, despair
& weeping!
The Son has risen and He
brings, the healing salve within
His wings!
If I would there protected
be, then He must reign instead
of me.
We must let Him re-write
our story if we would change from
grief to Glory!
So we will cast off grief
and shame, and rise to conquer in His
Name!
His armor bear, His banner
raise, We take His land by Faith,
through Praise!
Rest
(Hebrews 4)
Let me rest,
O LORD, in Thee, fretting not
the things I see!
Trusting in
the things I've heard, through Your
Spirit, by Your WORD!
Let no doubt
control my mind, to murmuring
I won't resign.
But taking
captive every thought, submitting
them to all You've wrought,
I think
instead on all Your might, since, every
wrong You've vowed to right!
I “mull”
instead, over Your power, knowing more
rest by the hour.
You have said
“easy is Your “yoke”, You would not
chide is with a joke!
So if I
treasure Your WORD best, I will have
Faith, and I will rest;
Knowing I
won't be cast out, For You're
casting out the doubt!
For it's by
faith you've bid me walk, You're not
content with “Christian Talk”.
Living by
Faith through & through, Help me LORD
to honor You.
Then rest
assured, I know I'll see, all the joy
return to me!
I'll not
choose doubt or death or strife, But I choose,
peace and rest & Life!
So by Your
power, by Your grace, Resting on, I
run this race.
All promises,
by Faith, I claim, Thank You
Father, In His Name!
Amen
